North Carolina A&T is a public, land-grant Historically Black University and was originally established in the year of 1891 by an act of the North Carolina General Assembly.

North Carolina A&T is currently the largest HBCU college located within the nation based on student enrollment. Initially, the college offered students an education in Agriculture, English, Horticulture, and Mathematics. Today the school offers 177 undergraduate degrees, 30 master degrees, and nine doctoral degrees across its two professional colleges and seven schools. Many of these programs are provided in an online and fully asynchronous format.
